The PWT‑series horizontal single‑stage end‑suction pump is a reliable and high‑performance standard single‑stage end‑suction centrifugal pump launched by Pentair Water Group for the Chinese market. Its design, manufacturing and testing comply with or meet relevant standards including ISO 5199 (GB/T 5656) Technical conditions for centrifugal pumps‑Class II and ISO 9906‑99 (GB/T 3216‑2005) Rotodynamic pumps‑Hydraulic performance acceptance tests‑Grades 1 and 2. Applications 

The PWT‑series end‑suction pumps are designed for transporting thin, clean, non‑explosive liquids free of solid particles and fibres. Typical applications include: water treatment, building water supply boosting, building fire‑fighting systems, air‑conditioning systems and seawater desalination. Apart from clear water, the pumps can also deliver water‑like chemical media and other corrosive liquids for industries such as chemical processing, petroleum, food & pharmaceutical manufacturing, synthetic fibre production and seawater desalination.

Complying with ISO 5199, the PWT pump offers the following features and advantages:

Pump Unit

• Non‑self‑priming, single‑stage volute centrifugal pump; horizontal axial suction and top‑centre vertical discharge single‑stage overhung horizontal centrifugal pump.

• Dimensional compliance with ISO 2858.

• Hydraulic design aided by CFD technology for stable performance and high efficiency.

• Modular construction with six heavy‑duty power frames across the full product range for high part commonality.

• Short shaft overhang ratio combined with heavy‑duty pump shaft to ensure long‑term stable and reliable operation.

• Back pull‑out design; maintenance can be performed without removing the pump casing or disconnecting piping.

• High‑head models adopt double‑volute design to reduce radial forces under off‑design operating conditions, improving service conditions for mechanical seals and bearings while lowering pump vibration and noise.

• Inlet and outlet flanges can be manufactured to GB, ANSI or DIN standards.

Coupling

• Realignment of pump‑motor coupling is mandatory if the pump casing, motor or complete pump set is moved.

• Extended spacer coupling is optional, enabling pump maintenance without moving the motor or detaching the pump casing from piping for easier servicing.

Bearings

• Standard fitment uses SKF sealed grease‑lubricated deep‑groove ball bearings, maintenance‑free.

Shaft Seals

• Shaft seal options: mechanical seal or gland packing seal.

• Standard mechanical shaft seal conforming to DIN 24960, silicon carbide versus graphite face material.

• Alternative mechanical seal types and packing seals are available to suit pumped liquids and service conditions.

Motor

• Standard Pentair totally‑enclosed fan‑cooled squirrel‑cage motor; main dimensions conform to IEC and DIN standards.

• Insulation class: Class F / temperature rise assessed per Class B

• Maximum ambient temperature: 40 °C

• 50 Hz voltage: 3×220/380 V (2.2 kW and below); 3×380 V delta connection (3 kW and above)

• Liquid temperature range: ‑20 ℃ ~ +80 ℃

• Thermal protection: motors of 3 kW and above are fitted with PTC 150 ℃ sensors (one per phase, series‑connected) for motor over‑temperature protection.
